Rank «city-hero» Kiev got for a courage and heroism, shown by his habitants in the years of the Second World War.  In town there are about four hundred memorable places, related to the soldiery events. In summer 1941 year on 73 day fascist troops were detained under Kiev, however much hitle rites succeeded to occupy a city. More than two years one of the most frightful periods lasted in history of the capital of Ukraine.
