Donetsk is the city (since 1917) in Ukraine, the administrative center of Donetsk region. The name "Donetsk", received from the name of Seversky Donets River, which flows to the north of Donetsk region. Until 1924 the city was named after the founder Yuzivka city - businessman John Hughes. In 1924 Yuzivka was renamed Stalino and the city was called so until 1961.

Donetsk - a city with a population of slightly more than a million people, which is located in the eastern part of Ukraine. Donetsk is on the river Kalmius, in the central part of the Donbass.
Today Donetsk is a large industrial, scientific and cultural center. Great site rail, road and air lines. The city is also known for its outstanding athletes, won prizes at prestigious international competitions.


In the city of Donetsk, the company operated 32 food processing industry. Donetsk was called scientific and cultural center with many research institutes, two theaters, concert hall, circus, several museums and art galleries.
In Donetsk held two International Ballet Festival. It is a unique botanical garden (the area of the Garden is 270 hectares - the first place in Europe).
