Russia is a country extending over much of northern Eurasia. At 17,075,400 square kilometers or 11, 46 %, Russia is by far the largest country in the world,
covering more than an eighth of the Earth’s land area, larger than Canada. Russia shares land borders with 18 countries: Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
