Geography
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a state situated in Southwest Asia in the northeast of the Arabian Peninsula.
3.jpgThe country has a primarily desert landscape with vast sand dunes, oases, salt marshes. Al Hajar al Gharbi is mountain chain, which splits the UAE from north to south in the northern emirates. The UAE highest point, at 1,527 meters, is Jabal Yibir.
Along the Arabian Gulf coast are offshore islands, coral reefs.

Climate
Climate is dry, varies from tropical to subtropical.
Climate is warm and sunny in winter, but hot and humid during the summer months. The average annual is around 100 millimeters, but in some mountainous areas annual rainfall often reaches 300-400 millimeters. Sometimes there are rainfalls in short. The best time to visit is between October and May

Visa requirements
Emirates have a strict visa policy: if arrive without the confirmed visa, a tourist will be deported. The visa must be applied for before the visitor enters the country either through the embassy, a local UAE sponsor or a local hotel,
The visa normally takes a 5 working days to be issued, but it can also be issued urgently within 2 to 3 working days. Please note that Thursday and Friday are non working days in embassy.
Before the flight departure a tourist gets the fax copy of visa, and in the Dubai airport must produce it to the custom service, the visa will be stamped on the passport.
There are flights from Ukraine to Dubai and Sharjah airports.
Today, it is not only one of the fastest growing airports in the world, but it is also recognized as the aviation hub of the Middle East, and now among the top 10 airports in the world.
In duty free shops prices are lower. Please note that Dubai terminal is more luxurious than Sharjah airport.
From Dubai to Fujairah it takes about 3 hours.

Currency

The UAE national currency is the dirham. It is pegged to the U.S. dollar. Street moneychangers frequently offer better rates than banks, though some may not accept traveler's checks. Major credit cards are widely accepted at finer hotels and facilities. ATMs are available in most cities. Exchange Rate $1.00= AED3.66 DH.

Beaches
Jumeirah Beach is the most famous and popular beach in Dubai. The Jumeirah beaches have soft white sand that slip into the shallow warm turquoise waters of the Arabian Gulf. The territory of Jumeirah beach is divided between hotels. Facilities for hotel guests are free. The water in Arabian Gulf usually clear, but 1.jpgsometimes it is possible to see oil spots. Water temperatures range from 25 degrees Celsius in winter to 35 degrees Celsius in summer. The daily air temperature in October and November is 27-30 degrees Celsius. Night temperature in January is 19 C.
Never swim alone especially if you have no experience of sea swimming
Low tide, which takes place twice a day, is a particularly dangerous time and amateur swimmers should avoid going into the sea during them.
Check the timings of both the low and high tides, which are published in local newspapers.
Don't go swimming when a red flag is hoisted on the beach. It is an international sign that swimming is not permitted.
The city of Sharjah has a beautiful coastline and a diverse style of public and controlled beaches. Enjoy swimming in clear water or get fun in building sand castles at Sharjah beaches. There is a dress restriction that applies strictly on the Sharjah beaches.
Note that in Abu Dhabi women are prohibited to swim on public beaches, it is only for men and children .That’s why tourists swim at nearby islands.

Entertainments
Fishing is not very popular, but there is a possibility to catch kingfish, jackfish, red snapper, rock cod, barracuda and other species. Fully-equipped boats with crew can be hired for 300 USD. There are two aqua parks in Emirates. Dreamland Aqua Park is known as biggest water park in UAE. It has a huge green territory.   It is a perfect place for family with children. Aqua Park located just an hour and a half drive from Dubai. 
There is Wild Wadi Water Park situated next to the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. It covers an area of 12 acres and comprises of 24 adrenaline-pumping state-of-the-art rides and slides. Adrenaline seekers will love Jumeirah Sceirah - a 33-meter high slide with steep angles to propel riders up to 80km per hour
There are no any animation programs in hotels. Child clubs are not in all hotels, but it is possible to order a baby sitting. Usually it is a Filipina girl not speaking Russia.
There are numerous nightclubs located in major centers and entertainment ranges from Arabic singers and dancers to international pop stars. Bars are found in all top hotels and range from sophisticated cocktail lounges to English-style pubs. Some hotels also have discos. Traditional dances are performed on public holidays. Most large towns have cinemas showing English-language films.

Hotels
There are the most popular hotels in Jumeirah Beach: Sheraton Jumeirah, Hilton, Oasis, Ritz Carlton, Royal Mirage, Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Beach, Jumeirah Club, Le Meridien Mina Seyahi, Le Royal Meridien, Metropolitan Beach and Dubai Marine Resort & Spa. The Metropolitan Beach - a distinctive low rise buildings and lush landscapes. Jumeirah 2.jpgBeach hotel is a massive wave-shaped hotel on the shore of the Arabian Gulf. The Burj Al Arab is a luxury hotel at 321 m it is the tallest hotel building in the world. All rooms are double-stored and the hotel equipped as a “smart house”. The hotel designed to resemble a billowing sail.
From the Jumeirah Beach to the Dubai center run busses, it takes half an hour.  There are different hotels in Dubai: two stars hotels for «shuttles» with Indian personnel, and super elite business-hotels, but from any hotel there is a bus runs to the beach. There are no elite hotels in Sharjah. Buildings are not new; this emirate is more provincial.There are two 5 star hotels in Fujairah. But at the same time it is the best place for diving in UAE. You are able to see tiger shark. Abu Dhabi is the capital of Emirates, super mega polis, lately is very popular among Russian tourists. Beaches are worse than in Dubai or Sharjah, although many people like luxurious modern hotels.

Alcohol
Alcohol is prohibited for Muslims tourists.
Alcohol is available in liquor stores, 5-star hotel restaurants and bars.
Do not drink alcohol in public places
Sharjah is known as a "dry emirate" which means the sale or possession of alcohol within Sharjah is almost entirely forbidden.

Ramadan
During Ramadan, visitors are requested not to eat, drink or smoke in public places. In general, the sale of alcohol, is prohibited during Ramadan, however, alcohol is served in restaurants after sunset.

Restaurants
Half board is a breakfast and dinner from 1 pm to 3 pm. In some hotels it is possible to change dinner to supper. Supper time is prolonging till 12 am.
Supper buffet breakfast is presented by international cuisine, and also fish, chicken and sea meals.
Visitors to the UAE will find a good choice of dining outlets ranging from expensive restaurants to local cafés. Visitors to the UAE will find almost all types of 4.jpgfood available, from Italian and French to Indian, Mexican, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Korean, Pakistani and Persian.

Shopping
One of the major entertainments for visitors in Emirates is shopping. The biggest shops in the world are in Dubai. Customs duties are low and therefore luxury goods are cheaper than in most countries.
Dubai City Center, popularly known as Deira City Center, is the leading shopping, entertainment and leisure complex in UAE. Dubai City Center has plenty to offer every tourist - a choice of over 300 superb shops, restaurants, fast food outlets, a children's entertainment centre, 6,000 free car-parking spaces, 11-screen Cine-star Cinemas, Lexus and Toyota showrooms, 11-storey office tower, Magic Planet (leisure family complex), a huge IKEA furniture showroom, the Sun and Sand - largest sports store in the Persian Gulf and the Sofitel City Centre Hotel and Residence.
The Dubai Shopping Festival, held in March, and Dubai Summer Surprises, held in July and August, is two massive attractions, with all the big stores and almost every shop in Dubai slashing prices in a retail orgy. Other festivals and special promotions run throughout the year, which further enhance Dubai's myriad retail opportunities.
