Geography
In ancient time in the country which now named the Arab Republic of Egypt appeared one of the mightiest and enigmatic civilizations, which for ages and millenniums attracted attention of contemporaries.
egypt-1.jpgWhen in Europe and America was dominating  the epoch of Stone Age and primitive hunters, the ancient Egyptian engineers built irrigational buildings along Great Nile, the ancient Egyptian mathematicians calculated the square of foundation and angle of slope of Great Pyramids, and the ancient Egyptian architects erected grandiose temples.
Territory of Egypt
Around 96% from Egypt are covered with desert. Egypt has all sorts of desert terrains, from sand dunes, to rock hills and mountains.  So you could see sand here every where . It is very exciting to see Oases between the deserts. The Nile valley divided the Egyptian desert into tow big pieces, the western desert and the eastern desert.
The Western Desert
The Western Desert covers about 700,000 square kilometers (equivalent in size to Texas) and accounts for about two-thirds of Egypt's land area
The Eastern Desert
Its 223,000 km2 from the total area of Egypt. Its high between 100:1500 meters, there are so many mountain such as El Shaib 2185 m, Hamata 1978 m, and Olba 1437. In the past this entire mountain was higher, but the Erosion factors remove some parts of it. You could make safaris tours in the desert, it is some thing so exiting and interesting.

History
This ancient country holds a history of over 6,000 years and has many exciting attractions for travelers. The Pyramids, the Sphinx, the tomb of young King Tutankhamen are just a few attractions that interest and excite people of all ages.

Nature
In the valley of Nile and in delta, granary of Egypt, every square meter of earth is maximally used. A wheat, barley, buckwheat, rice, corn, cotton, sugar-cane, red_sea_.jpggreen-stuffs, olives and spiciness are here tilled. There are no forests, but date-palms grow on the banks of Nile.

Population
Egypt is the most populated country in the Middle East and the third most populous on the African continent, with an estimated 75 million people (as of mid-2008). Almost all the population is concentrated along the banks of the Nile (notably Cairo and Alexandria), in the Delta and near the Suez Canal.
In 2000, Egypt's birth rate stood at 25.38 per 1,000, while the death rate was reported at 7.83 per 1,000. With a projected annual growth rate of 1.5 percent between 2000 and 2015, the population is expected to reach 92 million by the year 2030.
The capital city of Cairo and its suburbs is home to the largest concentration of Egyptians, with a population of almost 7 million.
The vast majority of the population—90 percent—is Sunni Muslim. Coptic Christians, and other smaller religious groups represent 9 percent of the population, while smaller minorities—primarily Nubians, Armenians, and other Europeans—make up approximately 1 percent of the population.

Religion
Religion in Egypt controls many aspects of social life and is endorsed by law. Egypt is predominantly Muslim; with Muslims comprising about 90% of a population are around 80 millions Egyptians.  Almost the entireties of Egypt’s Muslims are Sunnis. Most of the non-Muslims in Egypt are Christians. Christians represent around 10% of the population and are the largest Christian community in the Middle East.
Islam
Islam is the youngest one from three world religions. Muhammad is a Leader who founded the religion of Islam. Muhammad was born in the month of Rabi' al-awwal in 570.
Copts: The English word Copt is from New Latin Coptus, which is derived from Arabic (qubṭ). This word is in turn derived from the Greek word aiguptios: "Egyptian", from aiguptos: "Egypt".
The Greek term for "Egypt" has a long history. It goes back to the early form of Greek where the word a3-ku-pi-ti-jo. This Mycenaean form is likely from Egyptian ("Hut-ka-Ptah).camel-1.jpg
The Copts are one of the oldest Christian communities in the Middle East.

Language
Arabic is the official language. English and French are also spoken.

Customs
Whether Muslim or Copt, the Egyptians are deeply religious and religious principles govern their daily lives. Ramadan is the holiest month of the Islamic year and is more of a religious observation than a holiday. It is a month of fasting and renewal. Muslims, except for the young, the old, the sick, pregnant women, and travelers, abstain from food, drink, cigarettes, and sex throughout daylight hours. The fast begins at dawn and ends after sunset and is broken by a meal called iftar. After the iftar, the evening is filled with festivities and people gather in the main squares of towns throughout Egypt to listen to musicians and storytellers. Just before dawn another meal is eaten in preparation for the long day of fasting. During Ramadan business hours are shortened from 10:00 till 14:00.
A traveler, certainly, will pay attention on a national wears of Egyptians. Egyptians carry the shirts of free cut, thus simple people prefer a white color, women get dressed in black, reviving a dress the brightly painted elements.
